Taba Ramirez (STREET JAZZ Guest Teacher)

Choreographer, dancer, actor and singer. He began his artistic training at the Emil Friedman School, which opened the doors to be part of the ballet of the popular TV show “El Club de los Tigritos”, parallel had studied music and singing, being part of the coral group and Orchestra “Arcos y Voces Juveniles de Caracas” (1997-2004). Taba also studied performing arts with “Grupo de Formación Actoral Skena”. Taba is member of Grupo IMPETU since its foundation in 2005, in 2009 moved to the city of New York and is accepted in the ISVP program (International Visa Student Program) at Broadway Dance Center from which he graduated with Certificate of Excellence in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Street Jazz, being also assistant of important choreographers such as Chio Yamada and Jim Cooney.

Main cast in musicals such as “The Sound of Music” (2001), “Godspell” (2013), “In the Heights” (Venezuela, 2014), “Siudy Between Worlds” and “Spring Awakening” (2015). Dancer and image for advertising campaigns of companies such as Office Max, GAP, The Walt Disney Company, Stanhome, Smirnoff, Lipton Ice Tea and Mattel. Representation of Glamour magazine as a dancer at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York 2010.

Taba has worked with experienced choreographers such as Sheryl Murakami (choreographer of Beyonce and Lady Gaga), Jermaine Browne (choreographer of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera) and Jamie Jackson (Choreographer P. Diddy). He is currently Branch Manger of IMPETU Centro de Danza (Caracas, Venezuela), and also plays the role of Creative Director within Grupo IMPETU.
